What You’ll Be Doing:
In this role, you will oversee the design and project management of transportation projects, ensuring successful delivery within quality, time, and budget constraints. You will proactively manage coordination across multiple disciplines and ensure smooth integration for efficient project delivery.
You’ll also focus on change management, minimizing project impacts, and ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for the design team.
Your responsibilities will include managing and reporting on project progress, including monitoring risks and people. You’ll also collaborate with key stakeholders and clients, provide input into EOIs, tenders, and business development activities, and support the wider team’s growth and achievement of financial and strategic targets.
Key Responsibilities: - Design and project management of transportation projects to achieve successful delivery (quality, time, and budget constraints).
- Proactive management and coordination across multiple disciplines for integration and efficient delivery.
- Proactive change management to minimize impacts.
- Establish and uphold quality assurance processes throughout delivery.
- Lead or contribute to EOIs, tenders, and business development activities.
- Support the Civil Lead in coaching and supporting project team members.
- Support the wider Transport Team in its growth and development, and achievement of financial and strategic targets.
Key Requirements: - Experienced project or design manager for civil highway projects, preferably with TfNSW.
- Experienced in design and construct projects in PM and/or DM roles.
- Proven track record in the delivery of design-only contracts with TfNSW or similar.
- Strong people leadership and client management skills.
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering.
- 10-15+ years of experience, including at least 5 years as a PM or DM.
